Ben Haller: About eco-evo evo-eco

Where is the blog?

ecoevoevoeco.blogspot.com

What's it about?

I'll just refer you to Andrew's post on this subject.

Who can read it?

Everyone! It's not a private lab blog, it's a public blog about our research interests. Please read it, and spread the word to others who would be interested. Enjoy!

Who can post to it?

We plan for this blog to be open to posts from everybody working in the field of eco-evolutionary dynamics, in the long run. We'd like it to be a community blog. Right now we haven't publicized it that widely, but if you're interested in posting to it, please contact Andrew Hendry at McGill.

How do I post to the blog?

If you're not an author on the blog, then you can request author status from Andrew, or email your blog entry to him for posting. If you are an author, then you can follow these steps:

  1. Surf to the blog at ecoevoevoeco.blogspot.com

  2. Sign in, if you are not already signed in, by clicking "Sign In" at the upper right

  3. You should see a list of blogs (perhaps only this one) under your "Dashboard"; click "NEW POST"

  4. Now enter your post in the Compose area in your browser; the simplest thing may be to compose your post beforehand in a text editor and paste it into this window, but if you do this, it is best to compose it as plain, unstyled text, and do all of your styling inside the Compose area. Pasting styled text from Microsoft Word may result in errors that will prevent you from publishing your post.

  5. You should preview your post by clicking that link, before you publish it

  6. When you're ready, click the "PUBLISH POST" button at the bottom

  7. You should surf to the blog again to make sure your post has appeared correctly; if there is a problem, you can edit it or delete it

If you have any questions, please email me!
